ServiceIndividual and Couple CounsellingCounselling sessions last for one hour and you will need to be able to attend at the same time on the same day each week. Before starting counselling you will receive a consultation session, designed to give you a chance to see if counselling is right for you. It also enables me to assess if counselling would be beneficial for you. A flexible structureI offer both brief counselling and longer term open-ended counselling and will tailor the sessions to meet your individual needs, preferences and circumstances. I can provide both practical tools and the space for deep emotional exploration to develop organically, depending on your time constraints and financial circumstances. However many sessions you attend, you will regularly have the chance to review how the counselling is progressing and make any changes necessary to maximise the benefit for you. ConfidentialityPreserving your anonymity is of paramount importance throughout counselling. I will need to keep written notes of your sessions and refer to these in my professional supervision. This will always be done without disclosing your identity. I am required by law to react responsibly to any information that indicates that you or another person is at risk of serious emotional or physical harm. My feeI charge £45 per session with discounts available for those on low incomes Group workI run weekly group counselling workshops on a range of themes which are designed and adapted to meet the needs of all participants. These sessions are based on the premise that group support can enable the most powerful and enlightening counselling experiences and offer a more affordable option to those on low incomes. The groups adhere to a strict confidentiality policy in which the safety of all members is prioritised throughout. For larger groups I work with a co-facilitator to maximise the safety of group members. Each session costs £15 with a lower rate of £10 available to those making block bookings. You will need to attend a consultation session before attending a group.
