Service
Counselling
sessions last for one hour and you will need to be able to attend at the
same time on the same day each week.
Confidentiality
Preserving
your anonymity is of paramount importance throughout counselling. The
counsellor will need to keep written notes of your sessions and refer
to these in her professional supervision. This will always be done without
disclosing your identity.
Emily is
required by law to react responsibly to any information that indicates
that you or another person is at risk of serious emotional or physical
harm.
Free consultation
Before
starting counselling you will receive a consultation session, designed
to give you a chance to see if counselling is right for you. It also enables
the counesllor to decide if counselling would be beneficial for you.
A flexible
structure
Emily
offers both brief counselling and longer term open-ended counselling and
will tailor the sessions to meet your individual needs and circumstances.
However many sessions you attend you will regularly have the chance to
review how the counselling is progressing and make any changes necessary
to maximise the benefit for you.
Negotiable
fees
Emily
charges £35 / session with discounts available for those on low
incomes
