Background

I have worked as a counsellor both privately and in community and prison settings since 2003 helping people of all ages and from diverse backgrounds. Throughout this time I have worked with individuals and run group work programmes incorporating a range of counselling approaches and techniques.

My previous roles involved providing therapeutic support to: families affected by substance misuse and domestic violence people trying to reduce or stop using drugs, alcohol and prescribed medication young people including those who have disengaged from education and employment.

In my private practice I have worked with couples and individuals from all walks of life and varying ethnic backgrounds. In 2008 I qualified as a counselling supervisor and have been responsible for co-ordinating counselling services for community agencies, and line managing counselling staff and volunteers.
